Shaun Hill named NFC offensive player of the week

SANTA CLARA -- San Francisco 49ers quarterback Shaun Hill is the NFC's offensive player of the week.

Hill was named the winner of the award yesterday for his performance in Sunday's win over St. Louis.

He went 15 for 20 for 213 yards and two touchdowns. Hill also rushed for a score during as San Francisco beat the Rams 35 to 16.

During the first half of the game, Hill posted a perfect passer rating -- the first time a 49ers quarterback has done so.

He finished with a 142.3 rating while improving to 3-0 as a starter at Candlestick Park.
