Morgan Hill's 12-and-under Bronco Division 'A' all-stars were eliminated from their host section tournament Monday, falling 12-6 to Los Altos/Mountain View at Britton Field.
The 'A' all-stars cut an 8-0 deficit to 9-5, but visiting Los Altos/Mountain View mounted a late charge to pull away.
Morgan Hill scored its first run in the third inning when Joshua Priest drove in Nick Giordano. The rally continued in the fourth, as Frank Tomasello singled home Garret Taylor, who walked and stole second base, and Giordano scored Tomasello with a double to right field. Giordano crossed home on Mitch Crowley's RBI-single, and Adam Belluomini drove in Crowley.
Morgan Hill's last stand came in the seventh inning, when Priest stroked a leadoff double and scored on a Mike Jarvis single to right. Los Altos/Mountain View shut the door from there.
Belluomini started on the hill and yielded two hits in as many innings. Teammate Taylor Pullen worked the last five innings.
The 'A' team ended the tournament with a 1-2 record - it's lone victory coming in a thrilling 6-5 decision versus Morgan Hill's 'B' all-stars.
