In one of the biggest single-game turnarounds in program history, Sobrato overcame a 9-0 deficit to beat winless Prospect 21-10 in Blossom Valley Athletic League play.
The host Panthers scored nine runs on two hits in the first inning but couldn't keep the Bulldogs' offense at bay. Sobrato (11-9 overall, 5-3 BVAL) tied it in the fourth inning, then went ahead for good in the fifth.
"I was glad to see the girls come back and win this thing," Bulldogs' coach Bob Clampett said in a statement. "Even though Prospect is winless in league, they came to play."
Sobrato's Sarina Santiago and Nicole Larson both homered - Santiago twice - and drove in five runs apiece. Larson finished a double shy of hitting for the cycle, tripling and singling twice.
The Bulldogs are back on the road today at Del Mar and host Oak Grove at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
"I told the girls we only have five games left," Clampett added. "Anything can happen."
