Teammates Jeremy Urdiales singled and stole home, Anthony Ivery pitched two innings with two strikeouts, Aitken worked three with five strikeouts and Hughes closed out the final two frames with four strikeouts.

For the White Sox, Mike Porras struck out eight in five innings, scored, and tallied two hits, matching teammate Jared Gunsky. Christopher Rositano and Gus Rubio each singled and scored.

Pitcher Josh Alaniz kept the A's scoreless through the first two innings while the Giants' offense poured in three runs on singles by Dom Zanotto and Ben Hagiperos in the first inning, and a crushing three-run home run by Hagiperos in the third.

The A's fought back with five runs in the fourth. Mike Jarvis doubled and Matt Jarvis, Dylan Kral, Adam Belluomini and Matthew Bellah singled. The Giants put the game away, though, with seven more across the next three innings, coming on hits by Zanotto, Alaniz, Yamat, Wes Guild and a double by Hagiperos.
