Student of the week: Juan Martinez

What inspires you?
My family, my goals, and pretty girls.
What is your favorite subject in school, and why?
Art and Math are my favorite subjects in school. I like art because when I’m working on a project, I forget about my surroundings and get fully immersed in what I’m doing. I like math because I enjoy working with numbers, and it just makes sense.
If you had the power to change one thing in the world, what would it be?
I would go back and fix my mistakes.
If you could go anywhere, where would you go?
I would travel the world, meeting new people and learning new things that I could bring back home and share with other people.
Name one big challenge in your life right now:
Graduating and going out into the world to create purpose.
What is your dream job?
My dream job has always been to work as an auto mechanic or civil engineer. As a kid, my dream was to work in a challenging environment in which I could create and build my ideas.
What are your three favorite things?
My favorite things are eating, helping my family, helping others and challenging my ideas.

What do you want to do after high school?
I want to go to college, graduate, and start working.
Something that makes you smile:
Seeing my family happy together.
