Dual Immersion Multicultural Education Program

The Morgan Hill Unified School District will host a parent orientation for its Dual Immersion Multicultural Education Program, which allows children who speak English only, Spanish only or both languages to be taught to become proficient in both languages by the time they graduate. The orientation will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 7 at San Martin Gwinn Elementary School, located at 100 North St. in San Martin.

Parent University

MHUSD will present its Second Annual Parent University from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9 at Live Oak High School, located at 1505 E. Main Ave. in Morgan Hill. Parent University is a free Parent Educator Partnership providing information for parents to help children on their way to success. There will be multiple booths offering information and numerous topics such as "Be Active and Eat Well," "Moving from Elementary School to Middle School," "Setting Boundaries for Students" and "Do I need to let go?"
