The KlaasKids Foundation’s search director will return to Morgan Hill this week to evaluate the volunteer efforts to find missing teen Sierra LaMar, who disappeared March 16.
Foundation search director Brad Dennis will be at the Sierra Search Center, at Burnett Elementary School to “consult search leaders, evaluate progress to date and help to fine-tune search strategies moving forward,” according to a press release from the foundation.
Volunteer searches are scheduled for Wednesday and Saturday. Anyone interested in volunteering can participate by showing up at the school, at 85 Tilton Ave., between 8 and 9 a.m.
The KlaasKids Foundation, at the request of Sierra’s family, has been in Morgan Hill organizing search efforts since late March.
Sierra, 15, went missing the morning of March 16 while walking to her school bus stop less than a half-mile away from her mother’s north Morgan Hill home.
Investigators think she was kidnapped and murdered by Antolin Garcia Torres, 21 of Morgan Hill, who was arrested in May in relation to the disappearance.
Sierra was a cheerleader and a sophomore at Sobrato High School at the time of her disappearance.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and bring photo identification.
