Gilroy police officers responded to St. Louise Regional Hospital in Gilroy at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, after a stabbing victim was transported to the emergency room by a private party.

Police say the 20-year-old male victim, from Morgan Hill, was attacked on the 7000 block of Miller Avenue in Gilroy by two Hispanic adult male assailants. The victim sustained a single, non-life threatening stab wound to his upper body and was released after treatment, according to Gilroy Police Sgt. Pedro Espinoza.

Officers were dispatched to the area of the attack to search for evidence and witnesses. The search didn’t immediately yield any additional information. The incident may be gang affiliated and has been assigned to the GPD Anti-Crime Team.
