At their upcoming board meeting, the Santa Clara Valley Water District Board of Directors will discuss the Open Space Credit, which provides funding to keep agricultural water rates low. The ag water rate countywide is currently $17.70 per acre foot compared to the municipal and industrial rate of $295 in South County and $622 in North County.

The board will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the water district’s headquarters on Almaden Expressway in San Jose. For more information, view the staff report attached with this story.
