Under the influence of a controlled substance


Lajos Polya, 40, transient, 8:36 p.m. June 1, near Murray Road and Leavesley Avenue.

Esther Gutierrez Polya, 42, transient, 8:36 p.m. June 1, near Murray Road and Leavesley Avenue for being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a basepipe.

Possession of methamphetamine for sale

Chris Mike Duran, 44, of Gilroy, 10:30 a.m. June 1, on the 8300 block of Hanna Street during a parole search for possession of methamphetamine for sale and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Found property


A women's black wallet was dropped off at the South County sheriff's substation, 80 West Highland Ave. in San Martin, 9:50 p.m. Thursday. Deputies do not know to whom the wallet belongs.

A 21-speed, metallic Ride Hard Xtreme Machine bicycle was found near South Uvas and Little Uvas roads in Morgan Hill, 3:30 p.m. June 2.

Petty theft

Two sets of keys were stolen from the hood of a 1998 Ford Windstar on the 1800 block of Half Road in Morgan Hill, between 11 p.m. June 1 and 7:45 a.m. June 2. One set may have been found near Tennant and Monterey in Morgan Hill. The other set is still missing.

Identity theft

A Morgan Hill man's debit MasterCard information was used to make $41.61 worth of online purchases, between 6:30 p.m. May 26 and 9 a.m. May 27.

Grand theft

Police believe a 38-year-old Morgan Hill man stole a 15-inch Dell laptop from a residence on the 13300 block of Depot Street in San Martin, between 6:40 a.m. and 8 p.m. June 1.

Two video cameras and a compressor worth $1,380 were stolen from an unlocked 1994 gray Chevy Blazer on the 500 block of Dougherty Avenue in Morgan Hill, between 3 and 6 p.m. June. 1.
