Construction work well done
The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority celebrated the American Council of Engineering Companies of California and its awarding of the 2009 Engineering Excellence Merit Award.
Biggs Cardosa Associates Incorporated, the engineering firm that worked on the overpass for the state routes 152 and 156, finished work six weeks ahead of schedule in August and earned an award at a Feb. 10 banquet in Sacramento.
In addition to the overpass, the project included a connector ramp from eastbound 152 to westbound 156 and removing the left turn stop sign and realigning the roadway at the intersection of westbounds 152 and 156. Work on these routes are continuing.
