Negligent discharge of a firearm


Daniel Patrick Gorman, 38, of Gilroy, 10:50 p.m. Sunday, near Foothill Avenue and Wilson Way for negligently discharging a firearm and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Under the influence of a controlled substance

Katherine Anne Bluhm, 25, of San Jose, 3:41 p.m. Thursday, on the 8200 block of Monterey Highway in Morgan Hill.

Christopher Thomas Babich, 28, of Campbell, 1:14 p.m. Thursday, near Uvas Dam for being under the influence of a controlled substance and parole violation.

Public intoxication

Gery Laurence Steinberg, 56, of Gilroy, 2:16 p.m. Dec. 19, near Monterey Road and Masten Avenue.

Vandalism

A juvenile was cited for damaging a door, closet wall and bedroom wall in a group home, causing $460 in damage, between 11 a.m. Dec. 18 and 2:19 Dec. 19, on the 7400 block of Furlong Avenue.

Vandalism


A piece of concrete was used to shatter a small plexiglass door, causing about $150 in damage, between 2 p.m. Dec. 19 and 7:50 a.m. Monday, on the 100 block of North Street in San Martin.

A mobile home was vandalized, causing more than $400 in damage, between 8 p.m. Nov. 8 and 9 p.m. Dec. 11, near Hill Road and Maple Avenue in Morgan Hill.

The right rear window of an unlocked 2005 green Toyota Scion was smashed, causing $250 in damage, between 6:30 p.m. Dec. 16 and 7:45 a.m. Dec. 17, on the 800 block of Denio Avenue. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

Recovered stolen vehicle

A 1993 black Honda Civic was found, 2:30 a.m. Saturday, near U.S. 101 and Leavesley Road.

A 1994 blue Honda Accord was found, 10:30 a.m. Dec. 20, near Leavesley and Holsclaw roads.

Residential burglary

Two handguns were stolen from a residence on the 6700 block of Croy Road in Morgan Hill, between 12 p.m. Nov. 3 and 8 a.m. Dec. 20.

Petty theft

A black and teal Vans computer bag worth $50 was stolen from an unlocked 2002 black Volkswagen Beetle, between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m. Dec. 17, near Monterey Highway and Buena Vista Avenue.

Two vehicles, a 2000 white Chevrolet Silverado and a 1997 grey Toyota 4-Runner, were ransacked, between 4:30 p.m. Dec. 16 and 6:30 a.m. Dec. 17, on the 10000 block of Monterey Road. Keys and an mp3 player, worth $229, were stolen from one of the vehicles.

A license plate was stolen from a 2001 black BMW, between 12 p.m. Dec. 5 and 5 p.m. Dec. 15, near Barnard and Cochrane roads in Morgan Hill.

Grand theft

Two CD cases, 60 CDs, a digital camera and a gym bag, worth $1,175, were stolen from an unlocked 2005 grey Chevrolet Impala, between 7 p.m. Dec. 16 and 6:30 a.m. Dec. 17, on the 10000 block of Monterey Road.

Insufficient funds

After working for a San Martin man, an employee tried to cash a check for $15,150.88 but couldn't due to lack of funds, 3 p.m. Dec. 19, near East Middle and Center avenues in San Martin.
