Kim Thien Pham, 19, of Morgan Hill, was arrested at Mineta San Jose International Airport where she was attempting to flee the state. Pham is charged with two counts of murder and one count of conspiracy to murder.
Two suspects remain at large in connection with a double homicide in June and are now posted on the "America's Most Wanted" Web site, but six suspects are already in custody, two of whom are Morgan Hill residents.
Omar Aquino, 24, and his sister, Maria Teresa Sanchez-Aquino, 27, were found shot to death in their Plymouth Street home June 28. Maria's 8-year-old-son was sleeping in a bedroom during the killings and unharmed.
After the homicides, detectives began their investigation through information on Omar and his sisters' cell phones and the cell phones of the suspects, as well as other leads. It was discovered that Fame Thomas, one of the suspects already in custody, lured Omar Aquino to the movie theatre where she met up with her sister, Faith, in the restroom to discuss plans. Detectives believe all eight suspects met at the theatre to follow Fame and Omar back to his home. Later, all suspects entered the home when the two arrived and ransacked the home. The group is suspected of stealing valuables. Kenneth Thomas is now being named as the main suspect and shooter.
The two suspects still at large are Kenneth Thomas, 20, and his sister, Faith Thomas, 17, both of Campbell. Kenneth Thomas is wanted for two counts of murder and one count of conspiracy to commit murder while his sister is wanted for one count of conspiracy to commit murder. The two fled the state after the homicides and Kenneth is suspected of pimping out a 15 year-old runaway from California in Atlanta. He is also suspected of three robberies in Georgia.
"I think it's safe to assume he is always armed," said Liz Wylie, Mountain View police spokeswoman. She also said that both Kenneth Thomas and his sister are considered "very dangerous."
The two have made stops in Nevada, Texas, Florida, and most recently in Georgia, according to police, who think Kenneth Thomas is a member of the United Crip Gang. He has a tattoo with the letters "UCG" on his left arm. The police department has gotten together with the well-known TV show, "America's Most Wanted" to post information of the two on its Web site at www.amw.com.
"We're pretty sure (Thomas is) not going to show up in the Bay Area anytime soon. That's why we are trying to get the word out nationally," said Wylie.
In late August, detectives arrested five suspects in connection to the two murders.
Victoria Frances Thompson, 20, of Morgan Hill, was charged with conspiracy to commit murder. Kim Thien Pham, 19, of Morgan Hill, was arrested at Mineta San Jose International Airport where she was attempting to flee the state. Pham is charged with two counts of murder and one count of conspiracy to murder.
Nicory Marquis Spann, 18, and Michael David Adams, 20, both from San Jose, are charged with two counts of murder and one count of conspiracy to commit murder. Fame Thomas, Kenneth's 15 year-old sister, is also in custody and charged with two counts of murder and one count of conspiracy.
On Sept. 2, Mountain View police arrested Eric Williams, 22, of Union City, and the sixth suspect of the double homicide, on suspicion of two counts of murder and one count of conspiracy to commit murder.
