Man arrested for alleged indecent exposure
Sep 29, 2008
By Natalie Everett - Staff Writer

A Morgan Hill man was arrested Friday afternoon for alleged indecent exposure outside Crossroads Christian School.

William Barrett, 57, was arrested at the nearby 7-Eleven on Crest and Hale avenues, after reports that he exposed himself to a playground full of children. Extended care coordinator Pamela Dickerson said Barrett, a known presence in the area, had stood on the sidewalk facing the school with his genitals exposed. "He lives at a halfway house down the street. He's caused problems for a while."

Dickerson saw the man Thursday yelling to the children. Police were called and he was found hiding in a bush down the street from Crossroads, she said. He was sent away but not arrested, according to Morgan Hill police Cpl. Melinda Zen. He could face up to a year in prison if guilty.
