Ruben Aguilar, 52, a transient, 2:19 a.m. Monday, near First Street and Wayland Drive.



Under the influence of a controlled substance

Rolando Arellano Delgado, 20, of Gilroy, 10 p.m. Sunday, near Luchessa Avenue and Engle Way for being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Daniel Martinez, 32, of Gilroy, 5 p.m. Saturday, on the 2700 block of Dryden Avenue.



Possession of methamphetamine for sale

Richard Albert Rivera, 49, of Gilroy, 11:20 p.m. Friday, near Leavesley and Ferguson roads for possession of methamphetamine for sale and transportation of methamphetamine.

Identity theft


A woman's personal information was used to apply for a credit card and purchase a cell phone, between 12 p.m. Aug. 8 and 6:45 p.m. Saturday, on the 17500 block of Hillview Lane in Morgan Hill.

A credit card was used without the owner's permission, between 12 p.m. April 18 and 12 p.m. May 15, on the 2000 block of Roop Road.



Grand theft

About $5,600 worth of metal was stolen, between 8 a.m. Aug. 15 and 8 a.m. Sept. 9, on the 13500 block of Murphy Avenue in San Martin.

A fuel trailer containing 450 gallons of diesel, worth $2,500, was stolen, between 2 p.m. Sept. 7 and 8 a.m. Sept. 9, near Highway 25 and Bolsa Road at G&G Farms.

A fuel pump was pried open and 650 gallons of diesel fuel, worth $2,900, was stolen, between 2 p.m. Sept. 6 and 7:30 a.m. Sept. 8, near Highway 25 and Bolsa Road.



Burglary

About $50 worth of tools were stolen from an unlocked, open shed, between 12 a.m. Sept. 7 and 9 a.m. Saturday, on the 4100 block of Prunedale Avenue.

A computer monitor, worth $200, was stolen from a classroom, between 7 p.m. Sept. 4 and 12:45 p.m. Sept. 8, on the 5000 block of Santa Teresa Boulevard.



Vandalism

An electric gate was broken, between 11:15 p.m. and 11:20 p.m. Friday, on the 1200 block of Day Road. The victim estimates the damage to be between $500 and $2,000 and has video footage of the vandals.



Assault with a deadly weapon

A man was beaten with a flashlight when he tried to stop three men from stealing his vehicle, 2:13 a.m. Saturday, on the 10000 block of Pacheco Pass Highway at the Casa De Fruta Campgrounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he remains under observation.



Auto burglary

A wallet and a checkbook were stolen from a 2002 grey Toyota Tundra, between 10:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Friday, near Malguerra Road and Silverwings Court in Morgan Hill at the Anderson Lake County Park parking lot. One of the stolen credit cards was used to charge more than $400 worth of item at a Radio Shack in San Jose.



Felony vandalism

A vehicle was driven over irrigation valves, causing $2,500 worth of damage, between 7 p.m. Thursdy and 8 a.m. Friday, near Bolsa and Bloomfield roads at Christopher Ranch.



Weapons submitted for destruction

A rifle, a shot gun, and five boxes of ammunition were submitted to the South County Sheriff's substation for destruction, 10:30 a.m. Thursday.



Petty theft

A pair of shorts and a wallet, worth $110, were stolen from an unsecured gym locker, between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. Thursday on the 5000 block of Santa Teresa Boulevard at Gavilan College.

A purse containing about $100 was stolen from the trunk of an unlocked car, between 5 p.m. Sept. 8 and 8 a.m. Sept. 9, on the 1000 block of Fitzgerald Avenue.
