The San Martin Neighborhood Alliance had its sixth annual Custom and Classic Car Show Aug. 16 at San Martin Country Park. The fundraising effort helped the alliance raise enough money to pay for the process of determining if incorporation of the town of San Martin is feasible or not. Incorporation proponents wanted voters to decide this fall if the town could be independent from the county, but the vote had to be postponed because the Santa Clara County Local Agency Formation Commission was using a county attorney to study the issue, which was considered a conflict of interest. A total of $10,000 was raised during the event.
