The newest addition to the Morgan Hill police force, Pax the German Shepherd, plays with his handler, officer David Ray, at City Hall Wednesday night. Pax and Ray were introduced to the community during the City Council meeting. David Cohen, president of the Community Law Enforcement Foundation, presented a $75,000 check to the city to care for the animal during its lifetime. The K-9 team will assist officers with searches, pursuits and other activities. "We're just thrilled to death to have him here," said Morgan Hill Mayor Steve Tate. Pax is in training at a police dog academy.
