Moon-lit Hike
Join the staff of the Open Space Authority during one of the brightest evenings of the month at 5 p.m. as they lead a free moon-lit hike through Rancho Canada del Oro Open Space Preserve, located just south of Calero County Park on Casa Loma Road.
The Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center is hosting a monthly series of bird walks, 9-11 a.m. along Coyote Creek, led by Jane Haley, a 20-year National Park Service docent. Due to terrain, walk is not recommended for younger children. Program is free, space is limited and reservations are required.
The Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center (W.E.R.C.) needs volunteers to work during the morning any day of the week. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. E-mail education@werc-ca.org for more information.
Boys & Girls Club: Car Campaign throughout California

AARP Safe Driving Class
AARP holds one-day refresher courses for drivers 50 years of age and older. Driver safety and new laws will be covered. Class is free and there is a minimal fee for a three-year DMV certificate for discounts on auto insurance. AARP membership not required. Call between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. for time and location of next class.

Hospice of the Valley has opportunities for volunteers with a variety of skills for patient and family services, community outreach, fundraising and office support. Training is provided.
