Business Briefs: Realtor completes specialized course

Kathleen Shaffer, Realtor with Realty World South Valley, has completed a highly specialized course in Real Estate Financing, Tax and Investments. The class was conducted in San Mateo and is one of the required courses that must be taken by real estate agents and brokers in order to qualify for the coveted Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation. This designation is held by less than 4 percent of realtors nationwide.
The course included techniques in identifying tax saving opportunities, financing alternatives, debt and mortgage management strategies. "Every real estate transaction has tax and financial considerations," Shaffer said. "This course provided me with innovative ways to enable me to serve both buyers and sellers more effectively."
Greenwood part of new GM
GM has announced that Greenwood Chevrolet Pontiac Buick GMC in Hollister has been selected to be a key dealer in the new GM as Greenwood Chevrolet Buick GMC.
Greenwood has one of the highest customer satisfaction ratings in northern California. Their proven track record or selling GM vehicles even in this down economy was a determining factor. Greenwood Chevrolet is a member of the Greenwood Motors Auto group that includes Gilroy's South County Chrysler Jeep Dodge and South County Nissan Hyundai.
