Jorden Cortez drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth inning to help Gavilan College’s baseball team walk off with a 4-3 home win over City College of San Francisco on Thursday.

Cortez’s walk plated Connor Sutton with the winning run, after Kenny Hall walked to score Gilbert Gonzalez to tie the game, 3-3.

Gonzalez and Kavin Patel had three hits each for the Rams, who improved to 9-7 overall and 2-2 in the Coast Conference. Marcus Sabatte went 2-for-5 for Gavilan.

Rams starter Stephen Crowell went 7 2/3 innings, allowing three runs on eight hits and two walks with three strikeouts. Willy Potter (1-0) pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings of relief to get the win.
